How to try sandwiches for free

Subway, the submarine sandwich chain, is making major changes to its menu and order style for the first time in its nearly 60-year history.

The chain introduced a dozen new sandwiches that are a combination of Subway’s meat, cheese, vegetables, and sauce ingredients on signature freshly baked bread.

Its new line, called the Subway Series, also moves away from the chain’s long-standing model ordering of build-your-own sandwiches.

With its new Subway Series line, instead of customizing your sub sandwich, you order the new sandwiches by name or number. For example, you can say “I’ll take the No. 8” –- the Great Garlic with rotisserie-style chicken, bacon, provolone cheese, tomatoes, onions and a creamy garlic sauce on a toasted Artisan Italian Bread.

Subway has introduced a new line of sub sandwiches in order to streamline its ordering system.

The Subway Series features Cheesesteaks, Italianos, Chicken and Club sandwiches, all with a variety of toppings on Subway bread. There are three sandwiches in each category with names such as the Outlaw, the Philly and the Boss.

Though, not to worry, you can still customize your sandwich or order one of the Subway classics like the Italian BMT

The new menu items have been in the works since last summer as the chain introduced “Eat Fresh Refresh,” offering more than 20 “new and refreshed” ingredients to its menu, according to a news release. For more than a year, Subway’s culinary team worked on creating the new sandwiches.
