Candice Swanepoel shows off midriff while cheering Team Brazil to victory at World Cup opener dressed in cropped shirt with country’s green and yellow colors
Candice Swanepoel let it be known she’s backing Brazil in the country’s effort to regain past glory and win its sixth World Cup trophy.
Earlier on Thursday, the South African model took to her Instagram Stories and shared a photo of herself raising the Brazilian flag up over her head with excitement while dressed in the team’s colors.
And the mother of two had plenty of reasons to cheer about in the wake of Team Brazil’s 2-0 win over Serbia to begin their World Cup campaign in Lusail, Qatar.

With the photo, Swanepoel is sure to grab the attention of many of her 18.6 million Instagram fans and followers by wearing a cropped yellow and green Team Brazil shirt.
By raising her arms into the air, presumably after they beat Serbia, she put her entire midriff on display.
The catwalk queen rounded out her game day outfit by slipping into blue jeans, and having her blonde braids styled log, straight and flowing over her chest and down to the middle of her back with a center part.
Apparently, the beauty got so excited she stuck her tongue out while seemingly yelling out loud.

Famed Tottenham striker Richarlison scored Brazil’s two goals, , which included an acrobatic kick that landed in the back of the net, in a game that saw the team’s feared player Neymar go down with a right ankle injury, according to ESPN.
Brazil will now have to wait between 24 and 48 hours to find out whether Neymar will play again at this year’s tournament, team doctors reported.
While Swanepoel may not hail from Brazil, a number of her friends and fellow Victoria’s Secret Angels call the country their home, including Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima.

Swanapoel’s home country of South Africa failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and have not been competitive enough to be featured in three consecutive tournaments since hosting the 2010 edition where it finished third in Group A.
Brazil’s five World Cup wins over the years came in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and most recently in 2002.
The FIFA World Cup was first held in 1930, when FIFA, the world’s football governing body, decided to stage an international men’s football tournament under the era of FIFA president Jules Rimet who put this idea into place.
